Native Israeli artist, Noa Arbel studied traditional painting with Richard Pionk at The Arts Students League of New York, while executing oil paintings of New York cityscapes and Plein Air Maryland landscapes.
Since 2007, Noa works in Tel-Aviv, inspired by desolated urban places, open nature and cloudy skies. Using a rich palette of colors and textures, her paintings merge abstract and representational approaches, exhibiting a high level of technical skill. Noa Arbel's art interweaves freedom and control into a personal and contemporary language. "..It connects to the western tradition of painting and links to the place" (Yoram Kaniuk) |
